The belief in telepathy has been around for years and is a largely simple process. There are multiple websites dedicated to the topic, including an online community known as ITTI, or Inter-dimensional Telepathy Training Institute. ITTI is dedicated to strengthening a person's mental powers to those who feel that they would like the extra attention dedicated to their gifts.
When learning, it's important to practice with another person so that you can see whether or not your efforts are rewarded. Your partner will need to act as either a sender or a receiver.
A sender is the one who gathers their thoughts in a clear and concise enough way that they are able to project them onto their partner. While a receiver is the person who awaits these receptions. They need to have an open mind and they have to be willing to receive the messages they are getting. The signals might seem jumbled at first, just like regular thoughts, but after a bit of practice a good receiver should be able to tell the difference between random and deliberate.
Switch between the roles to find what best suits you. After that is established, find a quiet place to relax. Your partner can be in the room with you or further away. Whoever is the receiver should have a notebook where they can record the emotions or impressions that they receive during the exercise. The next step is to empty your minds and while a familiarity with meditation can help, it is not necessary. Visualize your receiver along with a connection linking you with him or her.
Imagine the thought you wish to send traveling along the connecting line. Don't rush, don't push, but be sure to add not only some emotion behind it, but a solid belief that it will work. Belief is the most important part of telepathy and without it you will not have much of a success rate. It might sound very 'I do believe in fairies.' but it has a basis.
There may come a day when speaking mind to mind is as easy as breathing (at the moment, it's generally reserved for science fiction movies) but until then there will need to be some work involved. If there isn't strong emotion behind the thoughts or images then there's a good chance that the experiment won't succeed. Repeat the process over and over again until it become a bit easier each time.
